Greetings! How are you? I hope this letter finds you well in a place of warmth and happiness amidst this cold winter. I wanted to take this time to share about a mission trip I will be serving at this winter.
I’ve been in Korea for about six months now and God has given me an opportunity to join New Philly’s mission trip to Baguio, Philippines. I will be there from Jan. 30 to Feb. 6. I’ve been to many mission trips in the past, but this is my first time going to a country in the eastern hemisphere. I am very excited to be traveling to a new country. I cannot wait to connect with the people and culture of this nation.
God has been speaking to me about identities to me a lot recently. An identity that’s been on my heart is that I am a new creation. Instead of asking God to heal me and guide me from my old self, I need to declare the old dead and step into my new. By doing this, I am fully equipped with God’s beautiful inheritance. It is in my power to claim and declare the nations as my inheritance. I enter into Philippinesdeclaring this nation as mine.
Another identity that our team leader has been speaking over our team is GLORY. We are called to be vessels of glory and this comes from a place of WHO we are and not what we are going to do; it’s all about knowing our identities in Christ. We will minister from this place; a place of wholeness and joy.
One of our teams prayer request is to see open heavens. Our church has been experiencing powerful signs of healing. We’re contending for more signs and wonders this trip! I also ask you to pray that our team may be binded together in love and that our team may be a team that prays. Unity and prayer are two of the most important things and we would like to be grounded in these things to effectively minister to people.
I humbly ask you to partner with me. I’ve been to Haiti where it was severely spiritually oppressed. I learned first-hand how important prayer covering is and I would like to invite you to be my prayer intercessors. I also need to raise 700,000 KRW (about $700) for this trip. A form is included for you to consider helping in this way. Thank you for taking the time to read this. And now I will say my final greetings in the way Apostle Paul concluded his letters. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all (1 Cor. 13:14).
