Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! How are you doing? I pray that you enjoyed the holiday season and Christmas celebration. As for me, God has taken me on a 16-month adventure in Korea so far, and I anticipate many more praise reports to come about in the upcoming months. I would like to take this time to share with you about a missions trip that I will be going on soon.
From January 30th to February 6th, I will go to Baguio, Philippines, serving on a missions team from my church called New Philadelphia (www.newphiladelphiachurch.com). My team consists of 13 passionate people on fire for God’s glory to fall on the nations. We will be partnering with local indigenous pastors, visiting local churches, leading children’s ministry, evangelizing the lost, and ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Baguio is north of Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. It is known as the “Summer Capital of the Philippines” because of its mild climate and mountainous terrain. There is a large Korean community along with other Asian communities. As my missions team ministers to the locals, my prayer is that we reach and minister to both the local indigenous people and the diverse Asian community in Baguio.
In July of 2010, New Philly sent two teams to Indonesia and one team to China. God invaded these territories and powerfully ministered to the lost, the brokenhearted, and the disabled. The three teams witnessed God’s power and majesty. As New Philly sends out three teams to the Philippines and India in January, the cry of our hearts is for the lost to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, healing to be unleashed, and lasting fruit to be marked everywhere we go.
God is powerfully moving in Korea and in all corners of this world. At this time, I encourage you to partake in this exciting work. I would like to ask you for your prayers. Pray for me and with me during my time in the field and the time leading up to the missions trip. Also, in order to go on this trip, I must individually raise 700,000 Korean won.
