Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I would like to let you know about a missions opportunity that God has given to me to serve on a ministry team in Dumaguete, Philippines with New Philadelphia Church (newphilidalphiachurch.com). As you may have heard, this is the area that was devastated by Hurricane Haiyan. Haiyan was considered one of the most powerful hurricanes to hit this city. Most of the buildings were destroyed and many lives were lost. It is a place in need of God’s hand and guidance for those directly affected by the storm.
Starting in January 2014, we are going to Dumaguete to bring what other programs and organizations are not bringing to the people. While many other relief organizations are going to help the people with their physical needs, this is not the primary purpose of our trip. We are going so that we can assist and encourage the local pastors through revival services and inner healing ministry. The people there are not only suffering physically, but they are also in need of spiritual healing that can only come from the Father. It is for this purpose that we are going to meet with the people.
I hope that you will partner with our team in praying for Dumaguete and Pastor Abuzo, a local pastor with whom we will be working. We know that Jesus Christ intercedes for us to the Father; so also we must intercede for those in need. The total expense of this trip is 1,200,000 KRW, and after my personal contribution of 600,000 KRW, I will need to raise the remainder of 600,000 KRW.
