Dear Friends,
As part of my pastoral leadership training at New Philadelphia, I have the opportunity of leading a missions team from Feb 7 to 14 to Dumaguete, the Philippines.
New Philly has sent a team to Dumaguete in previous years, and this will be the second time partnering with Pastor Abuzo, a local pastor in the region. Although the Philippines as a nation is still recovering from the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, most of the relief work and humanitarian aid will have come through Dumaguete. In a time of much devastation and restoration, our team is eager to be a part of God’s work in bringing spiritual renewal to the Filipinos. We will be ministering primarily through revival services, inner healing ministry, and evangelism. Our hope and vision is to bring hope and restore peace to the souls of the brokenhearted through the ministry of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit.
I can’t wait to witness salvation and healing through the power of the gospel! I am eager to worship God in this nation with the Filipinos. Would you partake in this excitement and consider ‘going’ with me? You can consider one or two ways of partnering with me:
1) Prayer. I am looking for people to commit to praying for me during the trip. Daily updates and prayer requests will be available for public access on facebook.com/newphilly so that you can pray for me and the team. If you would like to commit to praying for me, please email me so that I can share my personal prayer requests.
2) Finances. I will be raising 1,200,000 KRW ($1,200 USD) to cover trip expenses. I have already contributed 200,000 KRW of my own funds, which leaves me to raise the remainder of 1,000,000 KRW.
