Dear friends and family,
Can you believe we are nearing the end of 2011?
I sincerely hope that as you reflect over the past year, you find yourself at least a little wiser, a lot happier and increasingly closer to our Lord!
This year, I have felt the Lord steadily building my faith, but more recently he has stirred my heart to take a bolder step, with an opportunity to serve on a mission trip in the coming summer.
From January 16th to the 27th I will be in Thailand, along with other members of ECF - English Christian Fellowship, the church where I serve. We are partnering with a much larger group of brothers and sisters from New Philadelphia Church.
Together, we will be visiting church plants in various towns and cities, giving gifts and medicine, praying for the sick and hosting services.
As you are probably aware Thailand is predominantly a Buddhist nation.
Christians make up just 0.7% of the population.
Our main focus will be to bring revival to the youth of Thailand and to encourage the pastors and missionaries in this nation.
I am writing to you, asking if you would join us in this mission by supporting us in prayer.
This would mean the most to us. There is great power in prayer and they are heard.
The team also appreciates financial support. Each team member is required to raise $500 to go toward covering some of the cost of the mission. If you feel that God is leading you to partner with us through prayer and/or financial support, please contact me. We kindly ask that all funds be back by the 6th of January. All of your support is greatly appreciated.
