The year is almost over and I am once again preparing for missions with New Philadelphia Church. Time is flying by and although I am grateful for what God has done this year, I am trusting for exciting new adventures and opportunities. I am also thankful for being able to share my life with you all and am so grateful for the prayers, conversations, and encouragement. I pray you also will finish this year thankful for what God has done and in great expectation for the next.
From January 23-30, 2015 I will go on a team of 12 members to the largest city in the world, Tokyo, Japan. I’m really excited because this will be the third time I will be doing short term missions in this city through performing arts. With a few of my team members from the Cambodia missions trip in February earlier this year, and many new members, our team will once again be using performing arts (dance and singing) as a tool for outreach and evangelism. We will do outreach in schools as well as minister to and empower local churches. I can’t wait to see God break down barriers and refresh ministers through our team!
Japan is so technologically advanced, second after America for patents per capita, and has the third highest GDP in the world. However, it also has one of the highest suicide rates. Buddhism is the most common religion, but many young people have fallen into atheism and question what their purpose is and why they have been born. I pray that our team can plant many seeds and be a light to lead the Japanese to Christ and finding their purpose amidst the emptiness the world has to offer.
I am so excited for the chance to continuing sowing in Japan and am glad to invite you in God’s work though me as well. I firmly believe that as you sow in my ministry, you will reap through it as well. My testimonies become yours to share, because you help make them possible.
