"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”"

Romans 10:13-15

Hey, what’s up, a small update on life from me. You may or may not know that I have found an awesome and amazing church community here in South Korea, God is having his way with me and I’m enjoying every minute of it. With my journey here and with God I have decided to serve in the missions’ field this winter. No doubt I’m excited to be sent out into the field to spread the word of God to the Nations.

And so from the 23rd of January to the 30th of January I will be serving on a mission’s trip to Tokyo with my church “New Philadelphia”. I will be travelling and serving with other members from church that have all been blessed with talents and so we have formed a performing arts team to reach out to those in Tokyo. We will be partnering with local churches in Tokyo, and using dance ministry and evangelism as ways to connect with the locals. The gifts of dance can be used as a powerful bridge to captivate those people watching, and through us sharing they will come to realize that the talents we possess are from the blessings we have received from God.

One question that popped into my head when hearing about our dance team heading to Japan was, why Japan? Japan is a wealthy nation and isn’t a country that would come to mind when thinking about sending a missions team. The fact is that Japan is one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. Japan is materially well off but spiritually poor, there’s one missionary for every 62,000 Japanese. Japan is a fatherless nation, with some kids only seeing their fathers for at least an hour during the week. Their nation suffers with one of the highest suicide rates in the world, reading all this really stirred my heart for Japan, and made me realize the importance of our team and how much of an impact we can make. It is through our work in the field and reaching out that we will be able to set the captives free.

I hope with the brief explanation above you will share in my passion for the purpose of our team and serving and being sent out to the nations. First I would like to ask for your prayers, if you keep an eye on this website there will be updates for you to check on our progress. Secondly I will be raising 1,100,000w ($1100NZD) to cover some of the trip expenses, in which I will be contributing 330,000w ($330NZD) out of my own expenses.

Thank you for reading over this letter, I appreciate your time and your prayers.
