Thank you for reading this letter. Through this letter I would like to share with you about a part of my life that I treasure. This summer I will be going on a missions trip to Vietnam, and I hope you will partner with me on this trip.
From the 9th to the 16th of January, I will be going with eleven other friends from our church; New Philadelphia Church from Korea and Australia. Though we are from different campuses and across the globe, we go with a united vision and heart.
Through their political history and war, Vietnam is a nation where the practice of christianity is restricted by law. Despite this, we know there are many christians who persevere and practice christianity and at times being persecuted for doing so. As with previous missions trips, I have come to understand more that what I believed was a ‘free’ choice, and in some nations they have no ‘choice’ or choices are imposed upon them. Through this trip we hope to encourage and empower our brothers and sisters who are fighting and persevering for the faith they believe in.
I cannot wait to go and show my love to Vietnam and its Churches because I know freedom is not far away! I really do hope you will partner with me in this journey.
