Hi Family & Friends
From January 26th to February 2nd, 2015, I will be in West Papua, Indonesia to serve on my first missions trip with my church “New Philadelphia” with a team of 11 mighty warriors.
While Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim nation, West Papua is a fast-growing Christian province. However, due to cultural and ethnical tension, the people of West Papua have endured major conflicts with the government.
Our ministry focus will be on strengthening and encouraging the students of Erikson-Tritt Theological College and encouraging the leaders of local congregations. We will also hold revival services and minister at citywide prayer meetings. For reference, you can find testimonies from our Summer Missions 2013 trip to West Papua on our church website. As team leader, the more I prepare, the more excited I get to spread the Gospel of Christ and display the Father’s heart! I am humbled and honored to partner with God and the work He is doing in West Papua. I hope that you will share in my excitement and consider partnering with me in reaching West Papua.
First, I’d like to ask you for PRAYER. On our New Philadelphia Facebook page there will be daily updates of our team from the field so that you can pray specifically into what is happening. Secondly, after sowing in my personal deposit, I need to raise 1,100,000KRW to cover the trip’s expenses.
