Happy New Year! I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well. I would like to share with you about the missions trip that I’ll be volunteering in this summer.
From 12 January to 22 January 2016, I will be in West Papua Indonesia, serving on a missions trip with my church, New Philadelphia (newphiladelphiachurch.com). I’m going in a team of 12 people who are giving up their annual leave and resources to go to this nation and show the love of Jesus Christ. We will be visiting church plants in various towns, giving out gifts, praying for the sick and leading revival services. I’m very excited as it will be my first ever overseas missions trip. My prayer is to bring hope, encouragement and times of refreshing to the people that we visit in West Papua.
I would like to invite you to partner with me on this venture in two ways. Firstly, I’d like to ask you to join me in prayer. Secondly, I will be raising $1,500 (on top of my personal contribution) to cover the trip expenses ($2,150 in total) – this way, the missions trip is an opportunity for a whole community to serve the people of West Papua, rather than a group of 12 individuals.
