Hi, I hope this letter finds you well!
Last summer I had the opportunity to minister in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, and last winter I got to be a part of an amazing trip to Cambodia. One might think that two mission trips in the past year would be enough, but for me, my desire to go on missions has only increased. I can think of nothing more exhilarating and fulfilling than seeing hearts come to life in His presence, connecting with believers of different nations, and letting the hope He has given overflow out of me. Even though I started a fulltime job in February and am quite busy these days, I just couldn’t bear to miss out on missions this summer. As I prayed, I grew more and more confident that God was sending me out once again this summer. Giving up my week of vacation and the bulk of my Saturdays the next couple months for training seemed like nothing when I thought of the privilege of that calling.
So I’m excited to announce that from July 26 to August 2 I will be going to General Santos, PHILIPPINES with a team from my church!
The focus of our trip will be leading an Orientation Retreat for the students of Faith Bible Institute. We will be ministering to the students and also with them at services in the General Santos area. My church has a particularly close relationship with the native pastors in General Santos, and I’m excited to meet them and minister alongside them this summer!
I am also excited to give you the opportunity to partner with me in the work God is going to do. First, I’d like to invite you to cover me and my team in prayer. The covering of prayer is essential to our trip––the battles we face on the mission field are spiritual in nature, and prayer is the main way we fight them.
