Greetings! Summer is here and many of us will head out on
adventures all around the world visiting family, exploring new
cultures, or lending a hand across borders. May I share with you
about a missions trip that I’ll be joining?
From July 26 to Aug 2, I will be in General Santos, Philippines serving with my church: “New Philadelphia” (newphiladelphiachurch.com). Thirteen of us will pool our gifts and talents to bless the Church and community in GenSan. We have the opportunity to lead a retreat for the students of Faith Bible Institute and then join with these youth to minister in the city of General Santos.
I’m so excited to go! Our missions organization and a previous missions team from my church have built a strong bond with some of the pastors and ministers in GenSan, so our team will be continuing to water seeds planted there and deepening relationships already started. I count it a high privilege to work with the youth of GenSan and encourage their growth in Christ— for where the youth lead, history must follow! Through encouraging, teaching, and walking as examples of freedom in Christ, we will see God do great things in and through these students… when it’s all over, none of us will be the same, but we’ll all be blessed!

Secondly, in addition to my own 500,000 krw deposit, I will be raising 500,000 krw ($432 USD) to cover some of the trip expenses.
